Established 24 years ago in 1983 by Ian and June Marks
Situated in the southern ranges of the Yarra Valley one hour’s drive east of Melbourne
Cool climate – usually a late harvest, compared to the rest of the valley – mid April
The vineyard: -
Non irrigated, hand pruned & harvested
Low yielding
Red volcanic loam
North-easterly aspect
Vine density - 3333 vines/hectare (3m rows, 1m spacing)
Cane pruned:
White varieties to one single cane & one spur (12 buds/vine)
Pinot to two short canes |
