Established in 1983 by Ian and June Marks and family in the cool southern ranges of the Yarra Valley.
A low-cropping, non-irrigated vineyard with a north-easterly aspect.
Gembrook climate and soil, combined with diligent viticultural management, produce concentrated and elegant wines with good acid, intense fruit flavour and balanced structure.
The wines produced are European in style : - the Sauvignon Blanc is Sancerre-like , flinty, complex and concentrated and unusually long –living.
The Chardonnay is subtle with restrained oak flavours.
The Pinot Noir, made from 20 year old vines, has developed over the years a consistently distinctive Gembrook perfume and palate
