The current vintage has turned out to be one of the best ever, with ripe and healthy fruit with beautiful fruit flavours.

This was despite the promise of hail, smoke, European wasps and unseasonal heavy rainstorms.

We picked the earliest ever, with chardonnay harvest for sparkling wines in late February, and pinot and sauvignon blanc picked by 20th March.

The D.S.E. was most co-operative in holding burning off operations nearby until after the vintage was finished.

The ferments are now complete and the wines will be bedded down for the winter in French oak casks. They are all exciting wines and we look forward to seeing them mature.
